Topic: Name that quote....

Author: tony Original Message Posted: Mar 29 2011 10:05PM

"What will you be having sir?" (as said to Canadian Fooser by Waitress at the Peppermill in Vegas) "He'll have the first page."

Author: University of Foos Reply #1 Posted: Mar 29 2011 11:35PM

The quote seems familiar, I can't place it though.

Was I the one who would be eating the entire first page?

I've actually missed the Peppermill a little over the last couple years. The fruit plate of Eric D's was EPIC!!

Simon Edwards - Helping Ang order from the menu?! Just a random guess

Author: S. Edwards Reply #3 Posted: Mar 30 2011 9:25AM

I've never been to the pepper mill

This is an old one.... happened in 2002 at the Calgary tournament. I had just met Simon, Ang and the boys and we were at Denny's at about 3:00 am. Will, you're absolutely right about the giver and victim of this joke. Just about pissed myself!

See the third post (Reply #2) of this very old thread:

I think it was Christian and I were talking about that story a couple weeks ago, which helped with guessing it.

Next quote Tony?

Quote:

"You just gotta Cartwright for a few seconds"

Author: Will Reply #8 Posted: Mar 30 2011 2:27PM

This isn't really as memorable, but I heard it said by the same person to at least 3 or 4 different people - including one that didn't even know who Louis Cartwright which made it kind of funny, but it is an accurate descrition of the type of D to play lol.

From a restaurant in Spokane during a tournament in the 1990s. Waitress takes order. Fooser to be named says to the waitress: "I'll have the cheeseburger. Can you hold my pickle?"

"I'll have the cheeseburger. Can you hold my pickle?"

I'd guess either Gerry or Vitcze .

Author: Superfly Reply #12 Posted: Mar 30 2011 9:12PM

From this past HOFC. Unnamed fooser accidentally spills Rochelle's Chardonnay and arrives with a new one. "Oh, you didn't have to do that" unnamed fooser says "Sure I did, after all I am Canadian"

"What distinguishes Canadians is our ability to do trick shots," he reveals. "We're trick-shot guys. The recognition around the world is incredible. We invented all the aerial shots and quick passing. Anywhere I go in the world, people come up to me and ask about trick shots."

The last has got to be Adam Reid...nee Imanpoor

Fred beat me to the punch. Damn it. This thread would be incomplete without something from that windbag on it.

As for my quote in #10, Brundlefly's response in #11 is totally incorrect. Hint: not a Vancouver fooser.

Tim sounds like something Tom, Tim Hinricks would say

Spokane in the 90s' ... Hold my pickle? ... The indubitable Richard Trost.

Author: C.A.L. Reply #19 Posted: Mar 30 2011 11:12PM

C.S.

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #20 Posted: Mar 30 2011 11:43PM

The winner is Chaos Plus Three.
The way Mr. Trost said it, it was clear the pickle he was talking about was no cucumber in vinegar.

I'm sure it was a dilly.
