How long is the drive out there?

Author: S. Edwards Reply #2 Posted: Apr 19 2011 10:03PM

From the cow patch its 9 1/2 to 10 hours

Author: Will Reply #3 Posted: Apr 19 2011 10:27PM

But it feels like just minutes when you have as much fun as we did last time!

Author: S. Edwards Reply #4 Posted: Apr 19 2011 10:40PM

Linda, you would have a really good chance at winning am

Author: Linda Reply #5 Posted: Apr 19 2011 10:49PM

Oooh so tempting. I'll have to think about it for awhile...

Author: Will Reply #6 Posted: Apr 19 2011 10:55PM

Haha. I think if any more ringers from Alberta won Am they would NEVER let us back in town.

Author: Linda Reply #7 Posted: Apr 19 2011 11:16PM

What ringer?

Author: Linda Reply #8 Posted: Apr 25 2011 1:56PM

Anyone from Calgary thinking of going?

Author: University of Foos Reply #9 Posted: Apr 25 2011 3:22PM

I'm considering it.

Author: S. Edwards Reply #10 Posted: Apr 25 2011 7:52PM

This is a really fun tournament. The venue is excellent. The tournament room is right in the hotel and there is a beer store just outside the hotel. We had a great time the last time we went. All the guys and girls down in the PNW were awesome, plus they have some pretty good foosers there. No boom boom room but its still a fun tournament.

Author: Will Reply #11 Posted: Apr 25 2011 10:03PM

Yes the venue is awesome, lots of food close by plus a macs or 711 in the parking lot, the hotel has an outdoor pool, the breakfast buffet is incredible, lots of reasons to attend.

Author: Linda Reply #12 Posted: Apr 25 2011 10:28PM

I'm seriously considering it...
A month to go still, so there's time to decide

Author: S. Edwards Reply #13 Posted: Apr 25 2011 11:09PM

You could play in six events Linda. Entry fees are pretty low.

Author: Linda Reply #14 Posted: Apr 25 2011 11:31PM

Yeah that was a pro and con of going. Cheap entries and 6 events is great, but 6 events in 2-3 days is also quite a bit.

Gotta weight out fuel costs, time, hotel etc.

How many of the E-town folks are going?

Author: Will Reply #15 Posted: Apr 25 2011 11:34PM

I don't know that it has been decided by everyone, but I think the following are quite likely:
Ben
Christian
Simon
Will

Author: Linda Reply #16 Posted: Apr 25 2011 11:52PM

Oh wait....7 events if you include Mixed. EEk that's alot of events

Author: Will Reply #17 Posted: Apr 27 2011 12:18PM

You should skip at least 1 event, maybe 2.

Author: S. Edwards Reply #18 Posted: Apr 28 2011 8:34PM

Mr. Goodman. Are you in?

Author: wilkins Reply #19 Posted: May 4 2011 11:14PM

Copied from the Washington message board.
They want an appearance from Joey and Matt! What do you think guys???

OM - May 3 2011 5:24PM
Hey Alberta, you bringing those two guys that played the Open Singles final? They were fun to watch!

Author: Will Reply #20 Posted: May 5 2011 4:38PM

It would be sweet to have Joey show up at this tournament. They wouldn't know what hit them

Author: perennial underdog Reply #21 Posted: May 5 2011 5:20PM

I'll talk to my people and see if I can SQUEEZE Washington State into my schedule.Oprah called.I turned her down.

Seriously,if time permits me,I will make an honest effort to attend that cakewalk, but I can't make any
promises.

P.S.The last time I was in Washington(Seattle,in particular),my self and Doug McCarthy beat out Larry Chesboro et al in the final. It was plus 35 all weekend,no air conditioning, and the enviornment, possibly due to my legendary charm, was hostile--just the way I like it!!!The month prior to that,Gary and I had been playing tennis 5 days a week,2-3 hours per day.So when I knew the weather was going to be hot and humid,I knew I had a good chance of winning.

I'm still on the fence here but if Joey decides to go then that lead me to off-fence.
