Opinions?

Those were not fans, those were hooligans looking for an opportunity. Don't forget after the Oilers 1st cup in 83/84 there were riot Police in downtown Edmonton "controlling" the crowds here. There were cars overturned, windows broken, an in service bus with patrons on it being rocked. We didn't have things being lit on fire, but even hooligans have evolved.

The 1 thing I did find disturbing was during the riots last night there were families taking pictures on the side of the street as tear gas was being shot at the crowds 50 ft away...pure stupidity!

Got pic taken with Jeremy Roenick at the Roxy on Granville last Thursday. Nobody in the bar knew who he was besides me. Vancouverites not too knowledgeable with respect to hockey, pretty good at rioting.

We know tons about hockey. And jrs face is so recognizable that I bet most peeps were just giving him respect by not bothering him.
I think most rioters were not from Vancouver, and a lot of non Canadians. I watched from a bar downtown and saw many of em try to come in after cause nobody could leave the city.

Embarrassing none the less. Just a bad night overall.

Its hilarious to listen to American sports talk radio, everyone is Vancouver should be ashamed because a ton of young people went and rioted when the police were scared to act.

Then you hear the Vancouverites blame it on everyone else cause noone in Vancouver would ever riot.......

FYI the Roxy is filled with hockey players all the time, JR is hardly the largest star in the world anymore.

On a side note the NHL officiating has become a complete joke, there are 15 different rule books.

One for the preseason, one for first half of the regular season, one for the second half on the regular season, one for every round of the playoffs.

One for american vs canadian teams, one for game 7s one for canadian vs american original 6 six.

Lets try maybe one set of rules, like every other sport does.

Played a game against Harry too. A big chunk of something flew out of his mouth onto the table mid-game and he commented that it must have been some of the hamburger he had just eaten.

Now that is *bleep*in funny.
