I'm in Vancouver for the summer. Is there any place where players gather to play ? Do you still have weekly DYP's ?

Friday nights at Soho. Not much on tournaments, but a lot of people show up to play. Well...a lot=some.

Michael,

Re: Sniff's comment: Some = 2 to 8.

Easiest way to get people out is to post on this board that you are planning on coming down that evening. Often this will increase attendance a little bit.

We also play on Wednesday nights a little bit; this is more hit and miss than Friday though.

Occasionally something will happen on a Sunday but that is very occasional.

Great, I think I'm gonna stop by.
When do people usually arrive ?

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #4 Posted: Jul 8 2011 4:39PM

Excellent question. Some people arrive by 7:30 but no guarantees. More people arrive by about 8:30. If there were to be a tournament (highly unlikely) it would be singles and start somewhere between 8:30 and 9:00. I will try to come out, assuming the boss lets me; she often wants her dinner cooked for her.

Well, i know you have an endless supply of "Whine". So it's just a matter of the cheese .

Does anybody have extra grips by the way ?

See you around 8h30 then.

Author: Aged Whine & Cheese Reply #7 Posted: Jul 8 2011 5:28PM

A grip? I haven't had a grip in years. Although if you are talking about wraps for the table, somebody might; mine are all really really old.

Was there some noise between comment #4 and comment #6? It seemed pointless, irrelevant, and unworthy of notice.

Hi Michael, I have no idea when I'm going down to Soho next, but I do have some new grips. Not sure where you're located, but send me an email at kayko2000-AT- hotmail.com. This next week, I'll be driving in all sorts of directions and you could be on my way. Cheers.

Wrap delivery service? Cool.

Author: Kayko Reply #10 Posted: Jul 11 2011 7:52PM

Just for Michael if he's in need of it. I only have 6 or 7 new wraps which need to last me until the end of the year. But I'm not going to be playing much.

Where does everyone else get their wraps? Ordering it online or SportMart or?
