Author: C.A.L. Reply #4 Posted: Sep 1 2011 12:03AM

Darcy drew Barry Willick , they have got third so far, could get another chance to DD Tony Spree & his partner should they win their match of the B side final.

Darcy and Barry had an awesome showing in the DYP. 2nd place only losing to Tony. They beat David Vick too which is amazing! Great job guys keep it up!

Author: Will Reply #8 Posted: Sep 1 2011 11:53AM

I hope Christian really smashes this weekend. I am betting he will slice through expert singles, unless he is half cut. Hopefully he doesn't just hand over the tournament to other players by...

Author: Will Reply #9 Posted: Sep 1 2011 11:55AM

Turns out Christian sliced his hand open and had to go for stitches last night. Good luck anyway, but I would guess that makes this hard for Christian to do any damage (to anyone but himself that is)

Author: University of Foos Reply #10 Posted: Sep 1 2011 12:30PM

Which hand did he cut?

Author: Will Reply #11 Posted: Sep 1 2011 12:33PM

I'm not sure

Author: Will Reply #12 Posted: Sep 1 2011 12:57PM

Whichever hand he punches with

Author: Cam. Reply #13 Posted: Sep 1 2011 2:27PM

1st win for simon!

Author: Will Reply #14 Posted: Sep 1 2011 5:54PM

Christian is fine. It's all rumors and head games

Author: .Garry Reply #18 Posted: Sep 2 2011 12:39AM

"Christian is fine. It's all rumors and head game"

What, he's trying to get into Fredrico's mind to screw with him???

Author: Darcy Reply #19 Posted: Sep 2 2011 2:05AM

You know what's weird about this whole thing?

The tap water here tastes like dirt.

Author: Superfly Reply #22 Posted: Sep 2 2011 3:08PM

Looks like they don't have the 4 different streams working yet ... i'm seeing what you are.

Author: Superfly Reply #23 Posted: Sep 2 2011 3:12PM

Looks like not having InsideFoos there was a HUGE MISTAKE. Wonder how many people are there ... i'd guess around 350.

Author: Superfly Reply #24 Posted: Sep 2 2011 3:45PM

Tony puts Simon, Terry Rue puts Tuan and Lane Blundell puts Dave ... all joining Jeff and Christian on the B side. Eric still A side after beating Tom Jones ... looks like he brought the right shoes lol .

Tore my calice, roller sucks, I have to worst shot in the room lol...learning a pull shot now.

Playing pitts for the rest of the tournament!! Wish me luck!!!

Tuan and Pipken are playing well...

Sponsoring pays off lol.

Author: ButHeDoesntLookAsian Reply #29 Posted: Sep 3 2011 6:38PM

Sorry to hear that Dave. Good luck.

You too Tuano, Jeffy, and Moya. Anyone else from Van there?

Bring home some hardware!

Tables good this year? With Jim Stevens not there, has that taken some of the glimmer off of the event? Numbers up/down? What is the state of foos?

I am off to Malaysia in a couple of weeks to check on foosball there these days and will write about it and throw it up on the foosballboard. I have decided to opt out of Nantes if I end up getting invited for seniors. Go Canada Go! We might go to Africa this Xmas or back to Vancouver. Going back and forth on that one.

Hope everyone is well.

Cheers,

Fred

Ben and Barry sitting firm for King seat final in AM doubles. Fine team combo too.

Author: .Garry Reply #32 Posted: Sep 3 2011 8:12PM

The 4th table on the live feed was rue/adkinsson vs diaz/moore...wow!!!!

A lot of good matches todd/fred vs atha/yore went 6-4 5th game with todd up front for half the last game hitting some excellent pulls to close it out. pappas/rosa vs gummy/tracy went 5-3 in the 5th with billy shooting a pull the whole match, but dave/tracy's ball possession winning out in the end.

Author: .Garry Reply #33 Posted: Sep 3 2011 8:18PM

Next up...

spree/mares vs dave/tracy

and

moore/diaz vs fred/todd

see you in an hour

Author: .Garry Reply #34 Posted: Sep 3 2011 8:39PM

WOW!!! Spree was on fire more than I think I have ever seen against 2 master opponents-10 minutes and done-I think he missed 2 shots the whole game. Not only was he passing near perfect he was block-passing dave's 5 bar attempts to his 3.

Author: perennial underdog Reply #35 Posted: Sep 3 2011 9:29PM

Spredeman played well but Gummeson et al. played brutal.Of the latter,Tracy never made more than one block in a row and Dave could not only not score but he had difficulty even get a shot on net--which was brutal.

The test will be to see if they can make up for that clear lapse in concentration.

Moreover,I predict a Pappas v. Spredeman singles final.

Tuan and Pipkin VS Yore and Atha "B" side Open doubles for 7/8. Streaming now table 4 .

Author: Superfly Reply #37 Posted: Sep 4 2011 1:49AM

When it says payout 9/12 = $800, does that mean $800 spilt between 9 thru 12?

http://www.ifptour.com/tournaments/2011/2011_Worlds.pdf

Author: Will Reply #38 Posted: Sep 4 2011 1:53AM

800 each team

Author: Will Reply #39 Posted: Sep 4 2011 1:56AM

Tuan and Jeff played good, looked composed and were totally in that match. Must have been playing great the whole tournament, with those results.

Nice to see a Canadian in the top 10 again

Author: Superfly Reply #40 Posted: Sep 4 2011 1:57AM

WOW ... that's pretty damn good, looks like Worlds is paying off for a few this year.

They won !!!

Author: C.A.L. Reply #45 Posted: Sep 4 2011 2:08AM

That was a big win too, tough team they beat.

Author: Kayko Reply #46 Posted: Sep 4 2011 2:09AM

Would be great to see Moya get into the top 10 too...

Author: spinner Reply #47 Posted: Sep 4 2011 3:26AM

Could have beat Tom and Atha if i didnt get blocked so bad cause Jeff Pipken was had the wall up against Tom. So tired and sore from so many matches that couldnt let shot fly and concentrate. Should have brought ball to middle but eagle got in the way. Learning experience for next time.

Author: Kayko Reply #48 Posted: Sep 4 2011 5:18AM

Tuan, already pretty impressive results. You played a LOT today, man! Great to see the hometown boys on the live stream. Link Pendley tells me that IFP will have tournament DVDs made-to-order (i.e. custom). You select which matches you want - so you might be able to order your own matches. Good luck the rest of the way.

Author: Superfly Reply #49 Posted: Sep 4 2011 6:30AM

Was watching every second Tuan ... you could have blown then outta the water man! Still .. nice match and good luck in PRO DUBS DUDE!!!

Author: .Garry Reply #50 Posted: Sep 4 2011 7:28AM

"you could have blown then outta the water"

Don't know about that- I could tell from the way Tuan was shooting that something wasn't right. He passed well against Yore, but the combination of Yore's 5 which was almost unstoppable, and Atha's D, which caused Tuan issues, was hard to beat. Both defenceman looked on their games.

Still a great showing Tuan! Well done

Author: ButHeDoesntLookAsian Reply #51 Posted: Sep 4 2011 8:43AM

Way to go Tuano. Good luck on Sunday. U 2 Dave.
