Topic: Thursday Night Results and Points Update

Author: Will Original Message Posted: Oct 28 2011 2:48PM

Last night we had a tournament filled with upper tier players. We called it a ProAm but somehow had Tom and Darcy draw eachother, with several other strong teams. Simon and Garrett, Myself and Steve, Christian and Mike F, Garry and Ray.

Because of how even the teams were, it made virtually every match a battle right to the end. Steve was a machine in the pits for me all night, blocking everyone we played really well and even putting in a few through some really tough zones. We won the tournament beating Simon and Garrett in the Final, 2nd set.

Results:
1st Will and Steve
2nd Simon and Garrett
3rd Ray and Garry

Congrats to Will for not only taking over 1st, but doing it by such a big margin...I guess that's what happens when you win the dyp and Christian 2 & outs! Watch out for Christian to light a fire under his ass to overtake you. From what I saw from SC, he wasn't very motivated this week.

Good playing by alot of players this week made it very competitive every match.

Yeah I got a lot of points, I think 50 this week, and Christian lost 33 points. Christian should come to singles on Tuesday for his shot at redemption

Simon was unstoppable in that first game.

You had a few "lucky" bounces in game two, but you capitalized on them. switching to quick shooting push kicks and pulls was probably what won you the third game along with my many mistakes. Good playing. thats twice in a row we won the first set and then lost the second.

I think if you just hit the straits in game 2, the match was over. Lucky for us you missed a few and that gave us some momentum - along with a couple sitting nicely in front of the net on my 3 bar that I got to hit in. Game 3 we got up early and it was a tough mountain to climb - then on the last point my pass got blocked but ended up on my 3 row and the quick shooting was working so I just went with it.
