Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! This week we did a Pro/Am Draw Tournament. We surprisingly had 15 players out for this one, even though we weren't sure we could do a tournament. It was great to see everyone out for this one! I think this is probably the tournament that has had the most games go down to match ball. 5-4 in the 3rd game.. Rick and Chris took Scott and I to the last goal, then Conrad and Paul went to the wire with Scott and I too. We got the bounces at the right times in those matches and squeaked through. Chad and Ray lost the first match they played, but then climbed through the B side with wins over Chris and Rick, Ed and Steve, and then Roger and Maria (who also had a great climb through the B side to 4th place). Chad and Ray had the streak end when they faced Ritchie and Chris Kerr (played twice). In the final, again we went to the 3rd game - I'm not sure what the final score was, but a very hard fought close match. Scott and I pulled off the win. Great playing everyone! Well... I'll be there playin Fireball! From now on we'll have 1 Fireball and 2 Tornado's every Tuesday night. |
