Looks like Will and his hired henchman are sitting 3rd or better. They should win this event and Open Doubles. Will better place in the top three in OS or we will all know who the dead weight was on the team

Willing to bet you $20 (payable in Vegas)he doesn't make top 10 in OS.

Author: S. Edwards Reply #2 Posted: Feb 11 2012 11:28AM

You have to give me some odds if I'm gonna take that bet

Author: Superfly Reply #3 Posted: Feb 11 2012 11:47AM

Okay, $50 @ 2:1 odds.

Author: S. Edwards Reply #4 Posted: Feb 11 2012 11:56AM

You have a bet

Author: S. Edwards Reply #5 Posted: Feb 11 2012 12:00PM

By the way 4 players will tie for 9th so Will really needs to make the top 12

Author: Darcy Reply #6 Posted: Feb 11 2012 12:11PM

You just walked into, what we call here in Edmonton, a 'Simon Bet.'

haha anyway, I think Will could still do top 10 straight up. Interesting bet though!

Author: S. Edwards Reply #7 Posted: Feb 11 2012 12:23PM

I was just pointing out the obvious

Author: Superfly Reply #8 Posted: Feb 11 2012 2:18PM

Hmmm ... seems i may need a loophole, any lawyers in the house .

Author: Sniff Reply #9 Posted: Feb 11 2012 6:43PM

9/12 isn't considered top 10. Will would have to finish 7/8.

Author: S. Edwards Reply #10 Posted: Feb 11 2012 7:11PM

Must be new math. 9th sounds like top ten to me.

Author: Superfly Reply #11 Posted: Feb 11 2012 11:10PM

Not sure how to read the charts. But it looks like Will only has to win his next match (because of the bye) for him to make top 10?

Oh well, I was expecting more like 40 people entered based on the MoneyBall entries instead of the 30. Will that be American or Canadian funds .

Author: S. Edwards Reply #12 Posted: Feb 11 2012 11:57PM

I'll make you a deal. Regardless who wins lets spend the money at the bar!!!!!

Author: Superfly Reply #13 Posted: Feb 12 2012 12:38AM

Sounds like a plan .

Author: S. Edwards Reply #14 Posted: Feb 12 2012 1:09PM

Looks like I'm buying drinks! Will Sucks!

Author: Sniff Reply #15 Posted: Feb 12 2012 3:58PM

9th is, but 11th and 12th isn't. Therefore, it becomes moot, and since it's not difinitive, it is not absolute, and cannot be stated that 9/12 is in the top 10. Not new math, but not high schooling either.

Author: Sniff Reply #16 Posted: Feb 12 2012 3:59PM

Schooling should be high school math. Love my phones autocorrect sometime.

Later.

Author: S. Edwards Reply #17 Posted: Feb 12 2012 5:36PM

There are 4 9th place finishers, they all tied for 9th.. There is no 10th, 11th, or 12th place

You guys should have bet on an event I played in instead of one that I forfeit out of

I've had a really bad wrist sprain from practicing for a few weeks before this tournament. I was trying to learn how to shoot way harder and completely destroyed it...

Author: Will Reply #19 Posted: Feb 13 2012 7:02PM

for the record though, I did play my B side game vs Mike... on a home model Tornado with side strips and stuff. I probably still should have won, but didn't. I played it because we had already finihshed moneyball by the time that game was called. My winners bracket game I didn't play because I was icing my wrist instead.
