Topic: Edmonton Club Event Results and Points Update Author: Will Original Message Posted: Feb 21 2012 3:58PM I'm only going to comment on Singles in this post because of the mess that doubles turned into. Singles was a great tournament! We had a full 16 chart and probably the strongest tournament of players that we have seen at one tournament. Some key points: Conrad pulled off big wins against Garry, Sam, and Carey among others, getting into the very respected 5/6th spot along with Ben. Darcy beat Ben in a tight match and then gave me a run in the 4th place match. Simon and I had a really good battle to get to the kingseat game. It went down to the wire in each game of the best of 3. Christian beat me pretty handily to get back to the final against Simon, but Simon put it away nicely to come away with the win. Simon really showed a lot of class throughout the night, playing great foos and keeping his cool through some intense moments. I'm thinking thats probably the first time a player that started playing foosball after the creation of our league has been up that high on the points list.
