Hopefully someone knows why the following happens whenever I make a post...An error message pops up with the following...

ADODB.Recordset error '800a0cc1'

Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal.

/StoreMessage.asp, line 291

It still makes the post though????

Well Garry, the reason that is happening is that when the ADODB Recordset is saved, the item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal. Fortunately, this is happening at line 291 of /StoreMessage.asp.

Glad to be of help.

Tim, I know you're trying to help, and that's the important thing here. But you neglected to point out what I think is crucial to resolving this issue: specifically, it's an 800a0cc1 error.

I'm certain that Barry should SET NOCOUNT ON at the top of the procedure. I'm Feeling Lucky.

Is NOCOUNT kind of like what my Mom yells at me?

"You NOCOUNT loser - why did I waste time rearing you!!!!"

For a SQL operation, it sure does bring back memories.

Hey Jeffy, don't condemn an entire thread just because Richard posted on it.

Hey Barry was it NOCOUNT? Was it? Was it? [Circles madly about like Chester the Terrier]
