I did not shoot a pull shot on Thursday. Not sure how you recorded it (unless you have a web cam in my porn room).

Graeme should tell Roger in Edmonton the method used to record and slow mo, format etc. so it can be done in Edmonton too.
Fun interesting stuff.

Noticed that Andy and Tim were just going out to the second dot before the " dead-man ", Eric right on the last dot.
Could be they were just doing a smooth release effort for the camera, although Andy's slo-mo on the hand-arm shot reveals a "flippy whippy" movement.

Andy's "flippy-whippy" movement is due to his limp wrist.From an analytical perspective,he shoots a spray pull-shot.Tim shoots a similar stroke but squares his more at the end of his stroke.Eric's stroke is more of a deadman stroke,going past the ball,then brushing the ball back into the net.

If anyone else is recording and hoping for slow motion, it works best with higher frame rates. My camera records at 720p at 60 frames per second. Then I use a program called JES Deinterlacer to turn it into slow motion.

By way of observation,there is a 'program' called severe inebriation which also helps to facilitate slow motion.

Graeme, I have no idea what level you're at, but if you want to learn the pull from videos you should record the shooter at other angles. You want to see the angle of their body, how far back from the table they stand, how far they stand back from the net, their posture and try different things out and be able to hit all the holes from the same stance.
Also, don't twist you're five rod when you shoot like Tim does :P

Graeme, this JES Deinterlacer looks like it's for mac. Can you (or anyone) recommend a windows based program?

Simon: As Windows based programs go, I use Word, Excel and Outlook a lot. I would recommend them for most relevant tasks.
Now, if you are looking for an app that does what that JES Deicer does, then I can't help you.
